Things to do, see, eat and enjoy in Wallace and Malagash, NS.
Blenders and Beyond Ice Cream Shop
Blenders and Beyond is a quaint, little Ice Cream and Smoothie Shop located at 14889 Highway 6 in North Wallace, NS.
It is not; however, your typical ice cream shop. Blenders and Beyond is owned and operated entirely by pre-teens and teenagers. The brain-child of 12 year old (when she started planning Blenders and Beyond), now 15 year old Tessa Spicer.
When she was 11, Tessa participated in a Youth Entrepreneurship camp and with a few campmates created a one day pop-up smoothie shop. She got the bug and thought she would like to try creating a more permanent location and business.
As she was beginning to pull everything together Covid hit our area and she was stalled for a bit. Undaunted, she continued to plan and put things into place and as things opened up she had everything ready and opened her business in May, 2022!
Blenders and Beyond supplies ice cream in cones and dishes, sundaes, slushies, milk shakes and fruit smoothies (yummy, all original recipes, created and tested by the teens).
Tessa and all her workers take their jobs very seriously. They serve with a smile and, all having grown up in the area, are great at providing directions and suggestions for things to do.
